@StAndrewsCare@JessLievesley According to the The Access Association, an organisation with expertise in accessible and inclusive design, colourful crossings ‘pose a risk‘ to disabled people and elderly people.

@CAMHSinCRISIS@StAndrewsCare St Andrews are vile. The staff on the low secure CAMHS wards used to boast that they ran the place more like a medium secure.
Blanket restrictions are abuse.
@DrJessTaylor They don’t warn you about the weight gain, it makes you feel like you are losing control over your body. And they’ll compliment you on it, say that you look better than you did.
APs make you ravenously hungry but take all joy out of eating, it becomes compulsive.
@x3l173x @TomEatsCake Imagine victim blaming a sexual assault victim.
Do us a favour a isolate forever, there will always be another disease to obsesses about.
@UKLabour What’s that labour? Your average voter’s shopping basket vs a normal person’s basket?
Looks like the work experience kid is running the Twitter page, can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
@RITB_ I know that some people find shout useful, but my experience has been that using it feels repetitive and impersonal.
Definitely won’t be using them again after finding this out, which is shame because they are the only major helpline offering support over text.
Thinking that ‘oh what happened to me was the result of an immutable characteristic’ or ‘societies persecution of my abuser was the cause‘ can be pretty attractive /4
Mentally ill people and survivors of sexual abuse are particularly vulnerable to pro-paedophile propaganda. Paedophilia is a common theme in delusions and intrusive thoughts. People going through these experiences may find pro-paedo organisations online which /1
Potentially being put at risk through accessing so called ‘support group’ full of other self identified paedophiles. Survivors of sexual abuse often experiences guilt and ambivalent feelings about their abuser’s /3
@VictoriaPeckham I think if you transposed this story to a different branch of medicine, one perhaps that didn’t centre women, attitudes towards patients would be similar. I don’t feel that this is going to hurt is particularly sexist.
@echotheskeptic Again you made the claim about scientific consensus, so you need to prove it. And yes, science is up for debate by definition. Science however doesn’t have much in common with paedo propaganda.
@HighfieldCaleb @ThePredAlert Even though, without doubt he needs to be kept away from children, I don’t believe that he is what he thinks he is. Prostasia’s propaganda is especially harmful and confusing for mentally ill people.
Another gem curtesy of Prostasia:
Here we have a very disturbed ‘asexual paedophile’ teacher who feels that his students ‘come to him’ for ‘romance’.
No one suggests to him that he sounds as mentally ill af.
@AhunterofPedos It’s problematic for survivors to use for the same reasons. Being a survivor doesn’t give you a free pass and doesn’t mean that these kind of materials won’t be harmful to you in ways that go beyond ‘coping‘ with your trauma.
