New Albany Middle School hosted its Apple Distinguished School Ceremony today. The ceremony included recognition of Apple Certified Teachers and Teacher & Student Testimonials. School tours led by SGA officers were provided for our special guests following the ceremony.
Sixth grade social studies students at NAMS have been studying Sumerians and their invention of the first writing, cuneiform. Students have made clay " tablets" with a favorite inspirational message written in cuneiform.

NAMS 6th graders will return to school Monday, August 23 if they are not quarantined or positive for COVID. There will be no virtual school for 6th grade beginning Monday.

Mr. Tyer’s 5th Period Social Studies class at NAMS learned first hand how the Judicial system functions by speaking via Zoom with State Supreme Court Justice Josiah Coleman. Justice Coleman described his path to the Supreme Court & took students questions about the legal system.
