Is there a sense in which Fauci – who arguably had soft power more than actual controlling influence – is being scapegoated for the entire fiasco while many malefactors are still in hiding? That is absolutely true. That said, it is a good sign that ruling forces, whoever they are, feel the need to sacrifice their MVP. It suggests real panic.

Mechanism - mitochondrially dense retinal cells perform better with red/NIR light

Corollary: Indoor officework under LED, visible-only lighting is driving eye pathology via NIR starvation causing mitochondrial dysfunction

This effect possibly begins with poorer colour visual discrimination but by no means ends there - retinal tears, cataract, keratoconus all likely to be related.

And by no means is the eye the only organ system affected by this light-deprived indoor environment, METABOLISM, obesity & diabetes is the largest
