Getting mad at strangers for doing things you’re not certain of, have no real information about, that you’ve supposedly learned about from people who also don’t know definitively……is wild to me.
“the olandria treatment”…. idek how to articulate it but fuck it’s almost tone deaf!? once again it feels like another attempt to dehumanise (?) her. like theres no nuance or acknowledgement of the hardships she’s had to endure or her own work ethic to attain the things she has.
she’s endured an unwarranted hate train as soon as she got off that show. saw herself depicted in such a racist manner. had her villa friends through her under the bus for temporary clout. people open floodgates for racism, misogynoir and just horrific rhetoric about her, her family and til this day she gets harassed for her relationship with nic. the discourse around it genuinely breaks my heart bc nothing but wicked can describe the shit that’s been said. she’s got an active snark page that harasses everyone around her. corners of the internet foaming at the chance to humble her. haters who try to track down her location, her penthouse, her contracts, make up fake storylines, misinterpret everything she says etc.
“the olandria treatment” just feels so disingenuous when the ones preaching it for their next favs never ever acknowledged the impact and success olandria was/is making. in fact they were part of the group insisting olandria paid for everything she got or that what she was doing was nothing of substance. excuses after excuses but now all of a sudden, olandria has always been winning and now she needs to give it up for the next person. now all of a sudden we need to find her ender bc she’s been winning too much. fuck i hate it so much.
