@DefiantLs This gesture is a very friendly and culturally “Texan” thing to do when greeting someone familiar. There is no derogatory or inappropriate meaning in it at all. Being Texan is really a cultural thing! Not everyone understands!
@TracesofTexas Grew up in Dallas in the 60’s-70’s. We said “tump” mainly when on a swing set that would start rocking out of the ground when we would swing too high. Someone would say, “Watch out! You’re going to tump it over!” 😌
