Marco Rubio just cosponsored the bill to ban abortions and criminalize doctors. He’ll stop at nothing to strip women of our constitutional rights.
We have to hold him accountable in November.
@ElieNYC I liked that the judge referenced civil discourse as a fundemental of our government being able to function. That this norm has been savaged by insurrection and was included in his description of the crime. I was really moved by his words.
@GOPChairwoman Oh, lord. How can I put this. There are 10 to 13 failed red states that receive an average of $468 BILLION more in Federal assistance than they pay in Federal Taxes. Every year. AKA: Welfare. That Welfare comes from 7 Blue States, the largest contributors being NY, NJ, CT, MA. 1/
@LadyJayPersists @MarkHertling@POTUS Agree. Dems need to roll with the White House optics. It’s tradition and this would be a bad time to go all critical of a president who has just called out MAGAs. They embrace illegal gun toting and root for domestic terrorists. Oh, and Putin.
I see everyone at CNN got their talking point. This was NOT a political speech (unless you think condemning fascism and encouraging people to vote are political positions in which case--that's what we call a tell).
One of Gorbachev's final messages came through a close friend and journalist Alexey Venediktov. A scathing rebuke of Putin's current policies:
"What Mikhail Sergeevich Gorbachev did is all destroyed. All Gorbachev's reforms—to zero, to ashes, to smoke."
BIDEN: It's time to hold every elected official's feet to the fire and ask, 'Are you for banning assault weapons? Yes or no?' Ask them. And if the answer is no, vote against them.
Mississippi doesn't have drinkable water. Texas doesn't have a working power grid. Florida doesn't have enough teachers.
This is what happens when Republican leaders focus more on banning abortion, punishing LGBT teachers and suppressing votes than serving their constituents.
"Trump has demonstrated in the United States what Orbán proved in Hungary: The public will accept authoritarianism, provided it is of the creeping variety," @jon_rauch writes: https://t.co/ELDrmbCaYJ
Here’s how Democrats are bringing down costs for people on Medicare—and here’s what every Republican in Congress voted against:
✅ Capping insulin costs at $35/month
✅ Limiting drug expenses to $2,000/year
✅ Finally allowing Medicare to negotiate for lower drug prices
