RENUNCIA @BerthaAlcalde
Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino held a press conference portraying CBP shooting victim Alex Pretti as a dangerous assassin who was intending to “massacre” law enforcement.
For every one of Bovino’s assertions, there’s a growing amount of first-hand video and eyewitness accounts that point to the total opposite.
Bovino claims that Pretti approached law enforcement with a weapon. In fact, Pretti appears to be filming on his phone and then steps in front of an agent after he pepper sprays and pushes another bystander to shield her. MPD has confirmed Alex Pretti was licensed to own and carry a gun. There is no footage showing him pulling it on law enforcement during the encounter.
On the contrary, multiple videos, including a freeze-frame analysis of the one BT first posted this morning, show an agent appearing to remove the firearm from Alex Pretti’s holster before the first shot from CBP.
With more information still coming out, BT journalists remain in Minnesota and will continue to ensure the facts of this story are not distorted.
@IAmPoliticsGirl This ICE agent claps in celebration as the other agents continue shooting Alex’s lifeless body.
They enjoy killing us.
This is their training.
This is by design.
I cannot wait until America's Nuremberg trials begin. Every single ICE Nazi is going to say they were just following orders. But like the Nazis of Germany, it's not going to be a valid excuse to murder, torture, and terrorize American citizens and US residents. 😳👇
🚨BREAKING: ICE/Border Patrol agents are assaulting U.S. citizens on public sidewalks in Minneapolis.
In the video, agents are walking down a public sidewalk. A man is standing there, doing nothing but existing in public space. He glances back, and an agent uses both hands to shove him off the sidewalk toward the street, then casually walks away.
Moments later, another person is standing on the same sidewalk. An agent pushes them into the street, directly in front of a car, and continues across the crosswalk as if nothing happened.
Let’s be clear about what this is.
This is assault.
This is use of force without legal justification.
This is reckless endangerment, pushing people into traffic.
This is deprivation of civil rights under color of law.
This is law enforcement interfering with lawful use of public space without cause, orders, or any articulated threat.
These are members of the community, on their own sidewalks, not blocking anyone, not threatening anyone, not committing a crime. ICE agents do not have the authority to clear sidewalks by force, and they absolutely do not have the authority to put civilians in danger because they feel entitled to the space.
If any ordinary person shoved strangers into traffic, they’d be arrested on the spot.
When federal agents do it, we’re told to look away.
So ask yourself this:
If armed federal agents can assault U.S. citizens for standing on a sidewalk, what exactly is left of the rule of law?
🚨BREAKING: Border Patrol agents are caught on camera unlawfully stopping and threatening a U.S. citizen at a gas station, with zero legal basis.
In the video, a Border Patrol agent approaches a man who is simply pumping gas into an unmarked vehicle and immediately demands, “Let me see your ID.”
The man correctly responds, “I don’t have to show it to you.”
Instead of stating any lawful reason for the stop, the agent escalates and asks, “How do I know you’re a U.S. citizen?”
That question alone exposes the violation.
The man is wearing normal clothing, committing no crime, not crossing a border, not driving, and not suspected of anything. There is no traffic stop, no reasonable suspicion, no probable cause, and no legal authority to demand proof of citizenship in this context.
So, what the agent is really saying is this:
If you don’t look white enough, you must prove you belong.
That is racial profiling. It is unconstitutional. And it is illegal.
The agent then issues a threat: “This can go two ways. I can take you in, or you show me your ID.”
That is not a choice, it’s coercion.
Faced with the threat of unlawful detention, the man is forced to hand over his identification, surrendering his rights under duress.
This is exactly how constitutional rights are stripped away, not by law, but by intimidation.
If Border Patrol can demand “proof of citizenship” from Americans at a gas station with no cause, then no one’s rights are safe.
