“Did you know US bagged lettuce is soaked in chlorine, gassed for 14 days, and sealed in it? It's also illegal in 30 countries. Make it make sense”

- US lettuce processors commonly wash bagged salads like spring mix, romaine in chlorinated water. Approved by the FDA

- Our lettuce is sealed in gas. It’s called Modified Atmosphere Packaging. After washing and drying, bagged salads are sealed in special plastic bags with adjusted gas levels lower oxygen, higher CO2, nitrogen. This is don’t to slow spoilage and can extend shelf life to around 10-16 days from packaging

- The lettuce itself is not banned in 30 counties but the process of chlorine washes. The chlorine-washed poultry and produce has been banned in the EU since 1997 and a bunch of other countries
