The excitement of experiments in the classroom! We were scientists on Friday, making predications of what would happen when mixing vinegar and baking soda….would it create a gas to blow up a balloon? Oh the fun we have in first grade!!

We had a fantastic time going to the Bobby G. Pets animal exhibit yesterday. We learned so much about reptiles and where they were from. The best part was that the kids were able to hold and touch all types of reptiles, including me!

On Thursday we had our Authors Celebration as we conclude our non-fiction writing unit. They enjoyed reading their books to the class and writing compliments to young each other. Fantastic writers they have become! #hmesfirsties @HaymarketCubs
