I am very grateful to be part of the wastewater-based epidemiology efforts in Ethiopia with @APHL, in collaboration with @EPHIEthiopia on Project STELLA from @GlobalFund. This important work showcases how WBE can reveal the true extent of infections, independent of healthcare access, and its value for low-to-middle-income countries. Also, great collaboration from @Nanotrap, @QIAGEN, and @thermofisher on this project.

Fungal Disease Awareness Week == Candida auris is a worldwide opportunistic fungus that can colonize in many areas throughout the human body, including blood and skin tissue, and that is also shed in stool samples. It has continually been declared an urgent threat by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
We'd like to share how we concentrate and extract C. auris and C. lusitaniae within a wastewater sample using a robust and high-throughput method. Get the application note: https://t.co/1q0yCEJf3c
