The traditional Rakhine Oil Lamp Dance is a traditional dance handed down in Rakhine State, Myanmar, and is deeply connected to Buddhism. Dancers move their hands and bodies gracefully to traditional music while holding oil lamps in the palms of their hands. This dance expresses respect and faith toward the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha. The origin of this dance is rooted in Rakhine culture and is said to date back to the Dhanyawadi Dynasty. Even today, instructors and cultural organizations continue to preserve this dance by offering classes and performing at traditional festivals and events. The Rakhine Oil Lamp Dance is not merely a dance; it is an important traditional art that represents the religious faith, traditional art, and cultural heritage of the Rakhine people. Therefore, it is very important to pass it down and protect it for the next generations.
It is fine for foreigners to like our traditional culture, but copying our traditions and claiming them as their own is unacceptable.

Another day has passed, and we are still waiting for an official response from @GMMTV @ScarletHeartTH @Giggoo_

Myanmar’s cultural heritage deserves to be treated with respect, understanding, and proper acknowledgment. We are asking for transparency regarding the cultural inspiration behind the designs in #ScarletHeartTH, including relevant historical references and clarification from the production team.

Our request is not an attack. Our questions are not hate. Asking for cultural recognition is not creating fan wars.

Until GMMTV addresses these concerns, our trending activities will remain on hold. We will not allow this matter to be reduced to a fandom dispute when the real issue is the respectful representation of cultural heritage.

We are asking for answers, and we expect our concerns to be taken seriously.
