I read children’s and YA fiction, and often ask the kids in my life to tell me all about what they (and their loved ones) are reading. It’s a doorway into the minds of the next generation - and it gives me a lot of hope and connection with the next gen. Plus great books! 📚
Someone asked me what book I am reading &, when I replied with the name of a children's book, they said, "No, I meant a real book." Children's books are real books. They deal with complex emotions & situations in a way that is accessible to kids & offers them hope.
Everybody vote!
Unfortunately, despite voter fraud being almost nonexistent and never affecting democratic outcomes in the UK, you will need to bring ID this time.
Please do not let this discourage you from voting.
Postal votes will not need ID, and are relatively quick and easy.
The way we vote is changing. On Thursday 4 May, you’ll need to bring photo ID to the polling station. Don’t have ID? You can apply for free voter ID. Find out more at https://t.co/rR07KTeZ8x
@ambernoelle I had the ‘roll over half asleep and offer a boob’ method down to a fine art by child number 3. And despite my MIL’s dire warnings, they did sleep in their own beds without too much drama once they could talk and negotiate. I didn’t have to go to uni with them 😆
I am so tired of living like it's the 1600s. Can I afford eggs at the market? Are my friends gonna die in the plague? Puritans coming for my sinful lifestyle. I want some modern problems. Modern Problems
@JadeLevell I started blogging in 2007, it seems like a loooooooong time ago now. Bloggers used to be such a wonderful community, before social media and monetisation became things. And looking at the stats is very cool.
