@jeffodraws Thank you! I study human anatomy, specifically for artists and study hues I see on the skin of people, mostly from photos. I focus on single pigment colours and try to learn and memorise their combinations and try to put down skin tone I think I see, then correct and make notes.
@9afb7317ab31445 Hey! I painted with Golden SoFlat. I used phthalo green blue shade. Additionally there's red pyrrole, bismuth vanadate yellow and dioxazine violet on the coat. Also fresh blood FX from Vallejo.
Working on White Speaker’s 4 NMM blades. I use raw umber as a base colour and mostly paint reflections from surrounding objects. Nothing is attached yet, so I might have to adjust a few things once everything’s in place.
@Leon_F90V If you look at your own profile picture, you can see that the highlights on hair don't form at the top, but more like a halo around. Understanding this shape (like from real photos) will help you understand where to place highlights.
@Leon_F90V I try to think of hair as one whole object, not individual strands. I layer paint starting with the light most point. Each new layer doesn't fully cover the previous one. What do you struggle with when you paint hair?
@KacperIsIvar Thank you! That's good to know. The paint I like, used to sell only 1 orange. They do now sell another, as a part of a mix, so maybe that's a reason to explore that :)
I was experimenting with some NMM gold combinations, and discovered that yellow green, cadmium orange and burnt umber make a nice gold mix. This is the result!
