@Lew541207 These kids nowadays don’t want to take care of their parents and grandparents. They are saying we are stealing from them. Politicians will be forced to fix it when the time comes
Easier for you to say because you seem to have a lot of money but for ordinary folks who lives on SS that’s a lifeline you don’t want to cut. When you reach retirement you don’t have to apply for your SS benefits and asked your other rich friends to do the same. That will help a lot to preserve the solvency of the program. Thank you in advance.
@MattWalshBlog You don’t understand. We paid into it for 40 years or more. That’s our money. We are not stealing money from younger generations. It’s the politicians in Washington that misuse the funds. Spare us the guilt preaching!
@bennyjohnson Most likely there are some organizations behind this who are paying these people to come here. These people already knew that they will not be able to cross the border, but they come anyway so if we can trace the money we should be able to find out who is funding them.
We are becoming if not already there like mainstream Protestants - save by grace! I was a Mormon for 30 years until I wasn't. I have to use the full name of the Church at all times and my brain that used "Mormon" since my mission years feels in conflict at all times... I don't get upset at all when other people tell us we are non-Christians but apparently a lot are affected by it that we are changing the uniqueness of the Church. We have to change "home teaching" to ministering to sound like mainstream Christian. We have to preach so much LOVE so not to offend anyone especially the sinners. Our culture is slowly watering down. The Church is becoming socialist - no wonder UT is turning blue. If trend doesn't change the Muslims will kick the Church out of Salt Lake in 75 years.
When was the last time you visited a school? Most of American kids are obese. We don’t have food scarcity. My wife and I immigrated here legally in 1992. Since then we never asked for a handout while raising 4 kids. I still work 10-12 hours a day with no complain. We should promote legal migration. I understand the fear and anxiety these illegal immigrants feel every day but they brought it to themselves. They should go back home and apply. If you are an LDS remember that we have to obey the law of the land.
🚨BOOM 12 Learers caught and busted for fraud. These Learers in San Diego had been living life in luxury stealing our tax dollars while never actually teaching children to lear. All 12 individuals are not even from America and stole $10 million dollars.
EXPOSE AND STOP IT ALL.
HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM:
This is a well written and thought out article written by a 26 yr old college student by the name of Alyssa Ahlgren, who's in grad school for her MBA.
What a GREAT perspecitve...
My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.
I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.
Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.
We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!
Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??
Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow.
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."
Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.
When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth.
Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.
My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.
People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.
Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.
We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."
@LDS_Dems The operative word is “all”. Nobody is saying that. The destruction of nuclear family in the U.S. is not “All” due to Democrats. Well, maybe 90% of the time like killing unborn babies, transgender reassignment, gay marriage, crimes in blue cities, illegal immigration, etc. Can you name a single act the Democratic Party promulgated the last 30 years to strengthen the family unit?
