Don't trust, verify. It's not a platitude. It means exactly what it says.
Bitcoin is a zero-trust, egalitarian access network. That's a big reason why it's so cool.
Stack some sats and touch some grass.
There are ~23,000 reachable Bitcoin nodes. Those nodes decide what version of Bitcoin software to run.
BUT, a big chunk of those nodes are run by corporations, like miners, exchanges, and now, Wall St Bros.
They like it this way. Do you? Run a node.
Bitcoin is a peaceful revolution. But, it's still a revolution.
Like all revolutions, it requires effort from the revolutionaries.
If you care about Bitcoin, please do your part. Run a node.
Taking self-custody of Bitcoin means taking responsibility for securely storing your private keys.
Oddly, some will choose to write that info down on a piece of paper. It boggles the mind.
Air-gapped hardware wallet + titanium seed backup = smart.
Don't trust, verify.
Bitcoiners say it all the time. Yet many still trust exchanges to hold their BTC.
Bitcoin is a bearer instrument. He who holds the keys bears the instrument.
Not your keys, not your Bitcoin anon. 😎
MicroSeed lets you record your entire seed phrase on a single washer the size of a coin.
Comes with titanium, stainless steel and even nylon. One washer, unlimited options!
As a Bitcoiner, one of the most important things you can do is to run a node.
It is imperative to keep the network layer decentralized.
Otherwise Bitcoin becomes just another plaything for the Wall Street Bros.
Running a Bitcoin node is more than just "verifying your own txns"
Every node in pleb hands helps ensure the network layer remains decentralized.
Hash is centralized. The money layer is centralized. The network layer is the last bulwark. Run a node.
We get it. You spent all that time figuring out how to set up a wallet and moving your funds into cold storage.
Now you're tired, your seed phrase is on a piece of paper, so you just stick it in a drawer somewhere.
MicroSeed fixes this.
MicroSeed makes stamping your seed phrase on stainless steel or titanium as easy as stamp, click, repeat.
It uses standard stainless steel washers you can get at any hardware store and all 24 words fit on a single washer.
There's nothing else like it!
A useful way to think about migration is to consider what kind of societies the migrants have built in their home countries and to what extent you would like those conditions replicated here.
@thegresearch@saylor Owning holding BTC means higher risk /reward.
Having an exposure in BTC "stuff" in a retirement portfolio etc means less reward, but i can lose all my keys etc, and still access my bank and brokerage account.
@STRchitect Is buying STRD just before ex-dividend and holding $STRK / $STRC the rest of the time a viable strategy?
I held $STRD for two months and it only went down.
I think i will hold $STRK / $STRC until mid June.
Thoughts?
Hi Jonny, $STRC, $STRK, and $STRF are preferred shares and not common stock, so they don't meet the requirements to be listed on our platform at this time. If you'd like to request another stock or ETF to be available to trade on the Wealthsimple platform, you can submit it here! 👉 https://t.co/krxhvhi8FU
