... In writing... precision in writing. The greatest minds, seldom make the best orators. Speech is merely transmission of thought. Writing, on the other hand, is translation & transmission. You can bullshit your way through a conversation, can't bullshit your way through a page
I have been a photographer for at least 10 years and here’s some advice I’d give to anyone starting out.
- Practice, practice… fucking practice. Even when you’re “an expert” still fucking practice
- Learn lighting! Learn it a lot, learn it all the time, learn it with every source of light you come across… don’t ever stop learning it.
- Connect Connect… leverage on every conversation and relationship
- Be fucking passionate
- Update your skillset at every stage of your growth
- Build your Gear to fit your niche, you don’t need all the lenses and camera bodies to excel
- Basic lens to buy is a 50mm, for a wide range of photography… trust me
- Read about your clients, read about your potential clients
- Always take out the battery in your camera after every shoot
- Don’t forget to build a portfolio as you’re growing
- Dress well, I don’t have to emphasize that right?
- Find a Mentor or two, not necessarily physically… even if it’s virtually. Just keep up with their works, BTS if possible, their lifestyles.
- Tryout other types of photography outside your niche
- Shoot your shot at your desired Clients
- Don’t forget your memory card at home
- Build your style and this doesn’t happen overnight. It takes years
- Learn to tell stories or sell something not just take beautiful photos. People remember stories long after they've forgotten the lighting setup.
- Take your time to educate your Clients, in cases where there’s confusion
- Do a lot of Personal Projects (practice, plan, promote)
- Make sure there’s a written agreement for every shoot, even if you speak over the phone, send a mail or a text to reiterate what you both agreed.
- Take care of your equipment like actual children.
- Have more than one battery, Have more than one battery charger and make sure your battery is always charged.
- Make that major equipment purchase once you get that payment, don’t procrastinate. Suffer that suffer now.
- Not all Jobs will pay you, some are meant to open doors for you… pay it forward.
- Be Proud
- Don’t forget to collaborate with People in your community
- Be open to changes
- Be Humble
- Shoot with intention
get a haircut every 2 weeks to stay sharp, wait 5 secs before answering the phone to control the rhythm, always arrive 15 mins early, stay away from free lunches, never talk about people who aren't in the room and when anger rises, wait 10 mins before reacting. these habits may look rigid but they're the hidden discipline of the elite.
UNIOSUN Rejects Nigerian Army's Position on Sexual Assault Allegations, Moves to Protect Students’ Rights
The Management of Osun State University has rejected aspects of the statement issued by the Nigerian Army, Òṣogbo, on 3rd July 2026 regarding allegations of sexual assault reportedly involving some military personnel and members of the University’s community.
In a statement issued by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, the University acknowledged the Army’s decision to constitute a Board of Inquiry but expressed concern over the expectation that alleged victims should report directly to the same institution whose personnel are the subject of the allegations.
According to the statement, such an approach does not adequately recognise the trauma, fear, intimidation and psychological barriers that often discourage survivors of sexual violence from reporting directly to institutions they may associate with the alleged perpetrators.
The University also described as unacceptable any suggestion that it should disclose the identities of affected students or compel them to appear before the military authorities.
“Osun State University owes every student a duty of care, confidentiality and protection. The University will not compromise the privacy, dignity or safety of any student by disclosing identities without their informed consent or in contravention of applicable laws,” the statement said.
The University reaffirmed that the welfare and safety of its students remain its highest priority, noting that the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, will continue to stand with students who report any form of harassment, assault or abuse.
The statement explained that the Vice-Chancellor’s earlier comments were not intended to prejudge the outcome of any investigation or sensationalise the matter but were made in fulfilment of the University’s responsibility to respond to concerns affecting the safety and well-being of its students.
UNIOSUN further maintained that investigations into allegations of sexual assault should be victim-centred, independent, transparent and capable of inspiring public confidence.
“The University believes that survivors of sexual violence should never be placed in circumstances where they may reasonably fear intimidation or victimisation by being required to report directly to those connected with the subject of an investigation,” the statement added.
The University also disagreed with the Nigerian Army’s characterisation of the Vice-Chancellor’s comments as “unconfirmed” or “potentially misleading,” describing the remarks as a responsible response made in good faith and in the discharge of the institution’s statutory and moral obligation to safeguard its students. The University wishes the Military Depot to know that a University does not make careless statement.
Consequently, the University disclosed that it has instructed its legal advisers to commence appropriate legal proceedings to protect the integrity of the institution, the reputation of the Vice-Chancellor and the interests of its students.
“The appropriate judicial process provides the proper forum for resolving the issues arising from this unfortunate development,” the statement noted.
Osun State University reiterated its commitment to the rule of law, the protection of human rights and the pursuit of justice, while affirming its readiness to cooperate with all lawful authorities in ensuring that the rights, dignity and welfare of its students remain paramount.

I INDEPENDENTLY SEARCHED NIGERIA'S BUDGET DOCUMENTS FROM 2019 TO THE PRESENT. HERE IS WHAT I FOUND ABOUT THE PFIPC SCANDAL THAT NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT.
THE NAME DID NOT COME FROM NOWHERE
Everyone is focused on Adeyemi the man. Nobody has gone back to ask where the name "Presidential Economic Advisory Council" actually came from. I did. And the answer changes this entire story.
The Presidential Economic Advisory Council is not a Tinubu creation. Tinubu's economic body is called the Presidential Economic Coordination Council. He established it in March 2024, inaugurated it in July 2024, and chairs it himself alongside Dangote, Elumelu, the Senate President and the Governors Forum Chairman. It has a different name, a different structure and a different budget code.
The Presidential Economic Advisory Council is a creation of Buhari. Buhari established it in September 2019 to replace the Economic Management Team that Osinbajo was heading. It had real named members. Prof. Doyin Salami as chairman. Charles Soludo. Bismark Rewane. Eight economists reporting directly to the President with a defined mandate and a legal institutional identity.
When Tinubu came in and created the PECC in 2024, the Buhari-era PEAC was never formally dissolved. No gazette removing it. No Budget Office circular revoking its institutional identity. It simply went dormant. But dormant in Nigeria's government system is not the same as deleted.
That dormant status is exactly what was exploited.
When Lagos island rent and flooding gets out of hand, the rich will move to Ikeja, Surulere and Ogudu.
The struggling occupants of Ogudu, Surulere and Ikeja will be pushed to Ikotun.
Those in Ikotun will move to Sagamu.
Sagamu folks will move to Ikire.
My landlord had the strangest tenant rule I've ever seen.
Every tenant in his building got one "grace month."
Once during your entire lease, you could tell him you couldn't pay rent.
He would waive that month's rent completely.
No paperwork. No proof. No repayment plan. No questions.
Just once.
When I first moved into the building, I thought it was a scam.
"People must abuse that all the time," I told him.
He smiled and said,
Two nations. One love for football. France and Sweden fans brought the atmosphere to life during the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Round of 32 match at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, USA, on 30 June 2026.

Today, we begin the final farewell journey for my beloved dad.
The first gathering is a “Service of Songs” in the very church he and my mum built, a place that stands as a testament to their faith, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to God’s work.
Rest on, Daddy🕊️
Today, I had the honour of joining our party leaders, stakeholders, and faithful members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to celebrate a distinguished progressive, Senator Ajibola Basiru (SRJ), on the occasion of his birthday and the empowerment programme organised to support selected dedicated party members across the 332 political wards of Osun State.
The initiative reflects our shared commitment to strengthening the party from the grassroots and recognising the invaluable contributions of members whose loyalty and sacrifices continue to sustain our progressive ideals. Empowering our people remains one of the surest ways to deepen our connection with the electorate and build a stronger, more united APC.
I congratulate Senator Ajibola Basiru on this remarkable milestone and commend his unwavering dedication to the growth of our great party. May Almighty Allah continue to grant him good health, wisdom, and greater opportunities to serve our party, Osun State, and Nigeria.
Together, we will continue to work for a united, stronger, and victorious APC.
At just 34, Naïr Abakar became one of Chad's youngest cabinet ministers when he was appointed Minister of Youth and Sports in April 2026.
Days ago, addressing the Senate, he delivered a clear message: "Chad and the Chadian people come first. We are all accountable to history."
Beyond the headlines, he is betting on a bigger vision: using sport to unite the nation, unlock youth talent and rebuild Chad's sporting future.
A new generation of African leadership is emerging 🇹🇩.

This is so sad 💔 he was wrongly sent to prison for almost 5yrs by someone who has connections. Injustice can’t end in naija o
Today, I joined their Excellencies; Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State; Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State; Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC); Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, our party's governorship candidate in Oyo State; and other leaders and stakeholders of our great party at the Ansar-ud-Deen Central Mosque, Osogbo, for the Janazah prayer of the late Alhaja Sidikat Abeke Basiru, the beloved mother of our National Secretary, Dr. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.
After the funeral prayer, we visited Dr. Basiru and his family at their residence to personally convey our heartfelt condolences and pray that Almighty Allah grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
The passing of a mother is a profound loss that leaves an irreplaceable void. We, however, take solace in the certainty that every soul shall return to its Creator.
I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives all the shortcomings of our dearly departed mother, Alhaja Sidikat Abeke Basiru, enlarges and illuminates her grave, admits her into Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and grants her eternal rest. May He also continue to comfort and uphold the entire Basiru family during this difficult time.
Ameen.
