Nine-year-old footballer Abigail Egan has sadly passed away.

Abigail played for Celbridge Town in Ireland and, earlier this year, had the honour of walking out alongside Katie McCabe with the Republic of Ireland team.

Gone far too soon. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Abigail's family, friends, teammates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rest in peace, Abigail.
