@UHC@askUHC my mom fell and fractured her spine. She’s recovering from T3-T12 fusion surgery. Her neurosurgeon, hospitalist, PT team and caseworkers all want her to discharge to inpatient rehab, but you repeat deny and want her in skilled nursing. Appalling. Wrong. Fix it.
@evicorehc you are holding my care hostage. Treatment had to be postponed because of you. Don’t dare call yourself a protector and advocate- You are a gatekeeper and denier of care. You believe your actuaries know better for me than my doctor or myself. Appalling.
14 children and a teacher dead.
Another shooting. And the GOP won’t do a damn thing about it.
Who the hell are we if we cannot keep our kids safe.
This is preventable. Our inaction is a choice.
We need nationwide, comprehensive, commonsense gun safety NOW.
@ScottThompson_ It. Was. So. Wonderful. I binged it all last weekend, I’m queueing up my droves now to appease Lord AI Algorithm so that you’re all brought out of storage once more. Thank you!!!!!
Amazon has informed us that this is the week that will determine if the AI Known as Lord Metric Algorithm will grant us a new season. So it’s very important that people watch it in droves this weekend. FYI a drove is an abandoned car but you can watch it anywhere. #KidsInTheHall
@OscarHealth I’ve been an member since you first dropped in ATX. Apparently your current policy is to deny care you’ve approved biannually for 3+ years now? Peer to peers mean squat- 3x. I guess you’ve decided it’s ok to suck despite your tagline.
@Virginia_Brasch @RoannaFlowers With our beginners we avoid over correcting- you gotta kind of just jump in- that said, if we see something that is injurious, or will be, we immediately swoop in to correct.
@Virginia_Brasch @RoannaFlowers Don’t be scared! It’s just a very specific and different way of learning to move. Proper knee alignment is very important. The good news is that having janky joints means you won’t get the luxury of being able to do it badly without knowing it pretty quick.
@Virginia_Brasch @RoannaFlowers Also- I am a tai chi instructor- with our conditions, proper alignment is paramount. Make sure you get actual instruction vs solely follow along kind of approach. Tai chi is wonderful unless you do it incorrectly- then it can break your joints.
@Virginia_Brasch @RoannaFlowers Finding a doc who is familiar with hypermobility issues is also key. I have muscle relaxers for my chronic neck tension migraines and good pain control meds for as needed. And I hurt. A lot. All the time. But I’m testing for 4th degree black belt this week. So I persist.
@RoannaFlowers @Virginia_Brasch You want stabilizing exercises that aren’t so strenuous as to pull your stuff out of joint. Find a physical therapist who has experience/specializes in hypermobility spectrum disorders/hEDS if you can. Things like tai chi are good. Yoga can be really really bad if not careful.
