Why do #canadian parliamentarians always forget to mention the #disabled? Those with mental & physical #disabilities were the first targeted by the #Nazis Party as soon as they came to power in 1933.
Dear @theJagmeetSingh, rip the tape off.
It's been 484 days since there was any sign you gave a damn about Impoverished #Disabled People and even that is up for debate. #canpoli
Tune in to @ThePwdcast for the most recent episode with the endearing Elaine sharing her story. Another reminder that #disability doesn't discriminate. Episode 6 is up and @ODSPoor delivers a great lived experience conversation again. #onpoli#cdnpoli https://t.co/G0thRNk2Nt
As Moira’s story unravels it becomes clear that her search for #healthcare, long-term care, #disability support, and housing from Northern Ontario to Northern Newfoundland could become anyone’s story.

@cancelproof@Nate3361 I had a bilateral mastectomy. I didn't qualify. I just wanted my bandages changed, but nope. I had to drag my drug induced brain to them.
#PWD Support Needed! Does anyone know of anyone facing issues with Community Living in Ontario? I know someone who is struggling with this and is wondering if there are others. Please connect #DisabilityTwitter#ODSP#ODSPoverty
@cancelproof Home care would be so much better for so many people. This family would have preferred home care but the only option was for the son to leave home entirely which caused harm and cost more! This is not the way.
@cancelproof I'm so sorry you are going through this kind of thing with cost too. Something needs to be done, we keep saying it, what can we do to change it. Too many are suffering.

@cancelproof 3. The loved one has ended up hospitalized, so many terrible situations which is the result of the repeated failures of the management to provide for the person with disabilities as well as the front line staff. The parent is being shut out from advocating and silenced.
@cancelproof 2. to properly support their loved one in care, they have been met with much discrimination, ableism and the failed programs etc have caused harm to their loved one, and to them even. It's been a very difficult situation without support at all. If others are out there..
