There’s no such things as a tourism tax. It’s hotel and rental car. Have you ever rented a car in your own city before?
Have you ever spent a night down at the river walk?
You pay. Your friends and family pay when they come visit.
And then you pay more when you go to another town that levies these insane corporate welfare checks via taxes on people there.
If it’s profitable and beneficial to the owners and business people, they will raise the money themselves privately.. And pay every penny they owe in property taxes until property taxes are eliminated.
@KeeganBrown2026@TheCivic Zero public dollars. You want it then you are welcome to pay for it or raise as much private money as your heart desires.
ZERO PUBLIC DOLLARS!
None.
Nada.
@TheCivic Its always, "What can your debt-riddled city do for my multi-billion dollar franchise today?" and never, "What can my multi-billion dollar franchise do for its debt-riddle city of perpetual fans." No more stadiums.
@TheCivic San Antonio: Hey all, everyone else has paid the ransom to the hostage takers, so, dig deep and pay up.
Meanwhile:
76ers' New South Philly Arena is 100% privately funded.
Clippers' Intuit Dome is 100% privately funded.
Warriors' Chase Center is 100% privately funded.
Texans… I might have mentioned something about this before.
Post Texas independence vote will see a lot of population change.
Those that love big government will leave and those that value limited government will be taking their place.
It changes the political will of a post-TEXIT Texas in ways that value more liberty and less government.
Every few months, Congress quietly passes another short-term extension of warrantless surveillance authority, hoping you are not paying attention. I am not letting that slide.
My Fourth Amendment Restoration and Protection Act ends warrantless spying on Americans for good. It blocks the government from using secret FISA courts to target U.S. citizens. It stops agencies from searching your data without a warrant.
Flock Safety has deployed a nationwide network of more than 100,000 AI-powered surveillance cameras. In many communities, these cameras are positioned not only along roadways, but near schools, playgrounds, churches, and other places where Americans exercise their Constitutional rights.
One example is a camera located near @RockyBayouBC in Niceville, Florida. Does the federal government need to track who attends this church on a Sunday morning? Floridians deserve answers about why these AI surveillance cameras are needed and how the data they collect is being used. This is America, not China.
The fundamental question is simple: Should government be able to monitor who attends a church, political meeting, or community gathering without judicial oversight?
I believe the answer is no.
Across the country, surveillance technology is expanding rapidly, yet many citizens remain unaware of where cameras are located, who has access to the data, and how that information may be used. Transparency and accountability must come before mass surveillance.
As your next U.S. Congressman for Florida's First District, I will work to protect Americans' Constitutional rights and push for legislation requiring warrants before government agencies can use surveillance technology to monitor the activities of law-abiding citizens.
I do not want my daughter's generation to inherit fewer freedoms than the generations that came before us. We should embrace innovation without sacrificing the liberties that define America.
If you share that vision, stand with me. Together, we can protect privacy, defend Constitutional rights, and preserve freedom for future generations.
Let's Save America Together.
These are the brand new disguised Automated License Plate Reader cameras in Arizona
The large yellow plastic barrels are camouflaged housings designed to look like construction equipment
They are being deployed in remote desert areas along highways
These new camouflaged cameras are a partnership between Flock and law enforcement and the plan is to use them extensively to track vehicle movement and broader surveillance
We are witnessing the surveillance state being established in America… this only ends in mass surveillance
🚨 VOTING MACHINE CHAOS IN TEXAS 🚨
In Katy, TX (Fort Bend County), election machines CRASHED during early voting. Officials blamed one person uploading the "wrong ballot." Machines down for 1.5-2 hours at peak time. They switched to paper ballots... but told voters it would take "forever" and many just LEFT.
Classic: Machines fail → Paper saves the day → But they discourage using it. Irony much?
If paper works in an emergency, why not use it ALL the time? Precinct-level, in-person, paper ballots only. No more glitchy machines that "magically" affect entire counties.
How does one upload error hit every machine if they're supposedly not connected? Questions remain.
We need the Save America Act NOW. Secure elections matter.
Imagine Alberta was already an independent country.
Now imagine Canada approached us with an offer:
Join our federation.
You will send tens of billions of dollars to Ottawa every year, but you won’t control how that money is spent.
National elections will be decided by voters in other regions.
Your Senate representation won’t be equal.
You won’t be able to negotiate your own trade agreements.
You won’t control your own foreign policy.
Major infrastructure projects can be delayed or blocked by politicians and regulators outside Alberta.
Policies that directly affect your economy can be decided by people who don’t work in your industries, don’t live in your communities, and don’t experience the consequences of their decisions.
The constitution won’t guarantee our rights rather it will grant us privileges at the discretion of woke politicians in Ottawa.
Constitutional reform will be so difficult that meaningful change will be impossible.
You will be told this arrangement is permanent.
Would you sign that deal?
Would you vote for it?
That’s the question this meme is asking.
Not whether Canada is good.
Not whether Canadians are good people.
Not whether Alberta has benefited from Confederation in the past.
The question is simple:
If Alberta were already independent today, would you voluntarily choose the arrangement Alberta currently has?
If the answer is no, then you support Alberta Independence.
@nate_tx@TxLegendGaming@posimullings@GuntherEagleman Haha, bold move with the 🇸🇴🇵🇱 double-wide Texas hack—double the flags, double the Lone Star spirit! Not a perfect match but creatively chaotic. I'll keep pushing the real Texas flag emoji to the team. God Bless Texas! 🤠⭐
@Tylertx908765@BurnedBeans0_0@GuntherEagleman Many states have pride at a level 1. As proud as Texas is, I feel like we are bout a 3 and need to be a 10. Lots of room for a ton more Texas pride!
