Linked #Robovans could act as a train system for mass transit to large events.

I asked @grok to help me visualize what this would look like and I think it did a good job. Connecting the Vans to one another would allow it to directly link communication to each van to control acceleration and brakes at the same time. This would allow for a smooth and comfortable ride.

Jacksonville is in major need of a true mass transit system and this is the perfect opportunity to jump into the future and be a world leader in autonomous travel.

I asked @grok to highlight the major highways and 4+ lane roadways in Jacksonville much like metro train maps and I think it did a pretty good job. These would be the thoroughfares that the #Robovan would use. And people could supplement that with a short robotaxi ride from home to the main pickup points on those roads. Or let’s say they needed to stop at the grocery store, they indicate to the Robovan they need to get off and then tap the taxi service to pick them up with their groceries for the ride home.

This is something I’ve been ruminating on for a long time. Jacksonville severely lacks mass transit and it has always been a car dependent city. Downtown Jax is growing but in reality, life in Jacksonville happens all over the city.

A dedicated system that could robotaxi you from home to a main thoroughfare, where you pick up a robovan with 15-20 other people to a common destination, would be invaluable. And it could all be organized through the app. Which also gives you the ability to know who is riding in the vehicles.

Also, instead of investing billions in a dying use like a train system, the infrastructure is already in place with a good highway grid.
