We are repeatedly told that the Prime Minister has "rebuilt Britain's reputation" on the world stage.
Imagine hearing that as a Palestinian who has watched their friends and family die in Gaza.
Britain has been complicit in genocide. That is not a reputation to be proud of.
When the perpetrator is a white Christian man and the victim is a brown Sikh woman, funny how all of those details are left out of western media headlines.
Someone come pick up their da hes blaming immigrants for *checks notes* having one weetabix in hospital. A hospital full of immigrants treating him. 😂😂😂
The police in the U.K. last night were not able to keep up with the 999 calls after women were battered by their drunk boyfriends and husbands. Children too. Because England lost a football game.
You fucking weak ass fragile pieces of shit. You over emotional child men cnuts.
Charlie Stayt, "You said Andy Burnham is too in hock to vested interests to deliver real change. You haven't given him a chance, have you, he hasn't even started?"
Zack Polanski, "If he does do the right things I'll be the first to applaud him"
"He's appointed James Purnell as chief of staff. This is a man who is a corporate lobbyist for private water companies"
"When we have water companies pumping sewage into our rivers and charging us extra for the privilege, this doesn't seem a good start"
"Then we know Josh Simons hired a private investigator to look into a journalist who was talking about undeclared donations for Labour Together"
"And finally, the only substantial thing he's voted on as an MP in the last week, is to support Shabana Mahmood's regressive immigration reforms. Including asking asylum seekers to review their cases every 30 months. That's deeply inhumane for people fleeing war and persecution"
"Andy Burnham might surprise me and move in a more progressive direction and I'd really welcome that"
"But the rumours of appointing Shabana Mahmood as Chancellor, a politician who cites Margaret Thatcher as one of her political heroes"
"This doesn't sound like we're moving in a direction to end ripoff Britain, it looks like more of the same"
Typical of the English media, this is nothing short of scapegoating & blatant character assassination.
The vitriol stories like this will create towards Kobbie Mainoo is predictable & awful. This should be an indictment of Thomas Tuchel's inability & failure to utilise or integrate him appropriately.
It is also a case of people not understanding (or caring) that Mainoo has a reserved & introverted personality who was frozen out by Tuchel, a coward of a manager.
Doesn’t play a single minute but can’t save him from a character assassination from Craig.
Not very nice insinuations here for a player who has already in his short career shown incredible professionalism in response to being absurdly left out for a prolonged period.
Do better Craig. Do much better please.
I’m not having all the faux about Argentina players holding up a flag… as wrong as it is English fans are the worst… we sing about World Wars at a friendly… then cry when somebody gives it back. Grow up. Reap what you sow.
.@ZackPolanski: "We know if we taxed 1% on assets of £10m or 2% on assets of £1bn or more, we could be raising between £15-£24bn.. & just as importantly, we would stop the hoarding of assets. Its that hoarding of assets that's creating the inequality in this country" 🎯
This is the ultimate Westminster bubble comment that is totally deaf to the reality of what the vast majority of ordinary people think. It’s similar to the ‘decent Keir Starmer’ narrative.
Credit where it’s due: Burnham is more dynamic than Starmer.
Starmer waited until he was in No. 10 before abandoning any pretence of progressive politics.
Burnham hasn’t even measured the curtains and he’s already capitulated.
"City relieved" = Burnham's government won't challenge the power of the bankers, or tax their wealth.
Who is choosing our politicians - the people or the banking sector?
I know people who clung onto the Labour Party in the slim chance that after Keir Starmer things might have been different.
Labour consistently revealing there's absolutely no plan for change. The puurpose is to maintain power & wealth for the super rich.
