Andover (5A, 1-0 🏈) may be flying a little under the radar, but they shouldn’t be.

Jason Lamb was in town to catch up with head coach Jamie Cruce, Division I offensive line prospect Tyson Ross and CB/slot receiver Leland Schumacher.

Andover was the only team to defeat eventual 5A state champion Salina Central last season (48-21). After an 0-2 start, including a loss to eventual 4A champion Kapaun Mt. Carmel, the Trojans won six of their final seven games.

Andover opened this season with an impressive 32-21 road victory over Hutchinson and now turns its attention to a huge rivalry matchup with Andover Central this week.

The Trojans should certainly be part of the 5A conversation.
