➡️ @ODOT_Statewide's Joe Estes, who drove his plow in a snowstorm to escort a baby in need of specialized care to @CincyChildrens, is getting national attention. Thank you to @ABCWorldNews for highlighting this example of Ohio's can-do spirit. We are glad to hear that baby Bryson continues to do well. #AmericaStrong

Brown University charges students 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 $90,000 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 — and yet it’s running a 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 $46 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡.
That alone should make every parent and student stop and ask one question:
𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗚𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗚?
Brown junior 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗵 stood up and answered it — on the record — and he 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 the administration.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil:
Brown employs 3,805 full-time 𝗡𝗢𝗡-𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 staff…
For just 7,229 undergraduates.

Not teachers.
Not professors.
Not educators.
Administrators.

Alex didn’t speak as an outsider.
He spoke as someone 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 the system.
Legacy student.
Prep-school background.
Parents who can afford the tuition.

At Brown:
• Median family income: 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 $200,000
• 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳 the student body comes from the 𝗧𝗼𝗽 5%
• Low-income, equally qualified students are 𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 — by Brown’s own research
So while families tighten their belts…
While middle-class kids get priced out…
While students take on crushing debt…
𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲.
Athletic director salary: 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 $1,000,000
Household staff for the university president: 𝗢𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹
Dorms flooding when it rains.
Dining halls cutting food quality.
And when Alex tried to expose it?
They didn’t refute him.
They retaliated.
Social Security number leaked.
Student paper website hacked.
Every board member hit with disciplinary charges.

This isn’t just Brown.

Since the 1990s:
• University administrators 𝗨𝗣 162%
• Tuition costs 𝗨𝗣 181% (inflation-adjusted)
Across the Atlantic?
Oxford and Cambridge cost 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 — because they don’t run bloated bureaucracies masquerading as moral authorities.
