Unpopular opinion:

Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren might become stars.

Kyrie Irving already is one.

Pair Kyrie with SGA and the Thunder instantly become the team nobody wants to see in a 7-game series.

Sometimes you trade potential for banners.

Everyone keeps saying OKC should keep all their young talent.

I disagree.

If the Thunder can turn Jalen Williams or Chet Holmgren into Kyrie Irving, you do it.

Championship windows are rare. SGA and Kyrie would be the best backcourt in basketball and favorites.

Hot take:

If OKC traded for Kyrie Irving, they’d win the NBA title next year.

SGA is already an MVP-level player. Kyrie gives them the elite shot creator and closer they need when defenses load up in the playoffs.

SGA + Kyrie + that defense = Championship.
