I’ve met some incredible people on my journeys- let me tell you about one named Andrea. Although she has a fantastic career, she also volunteers at a nonprofit animal shelter in Costa Rica for the over one million homeless dogs and other animals that depend on people for help. Halfway Home Tamarindo provides shelter, food, veterinary care, a spay and neutering program, and facilitates adoptions for over 16,000 dogs and cats, and counting. I’ve just donated to provide one kennel for one year because I believe so strongly in the work that Andrea and others are doing. If you are in the Tamarindo area and would like to volunteer, foster, or adopt, or if you would simply like to donate, I know a lot of dogs (and one rescued squirrel that thinks it’s a dog) that could really use your help.
