@hankgreen Pronouncing the "pin" in "pineapple" like the word "pin", and the "ea" in "pineapple" like the "ea" in "neat", while putting emphasis on the second syllable instead of the first. "pinn-EE-pple"
@realgirl_fieri I started drinking a whole glass of regular water at the beginning of my day, every day, no matter what. Genuinely I just feel less awful in the mornings now.
@PhilRoach16@KXAN_News I think the fact that the general whole of humanity has agreed for thousands of years that eclipses are exciting and yet you're out here telling people to "chill out" says a lot more about you than the people you're judging. Have you always hated fun?
@ilatkeyou@hankgreen Hank pls a "how to vote effectively", "how to contact your representatives", and a "how to run for office, local and national" crash course would be literally revolutionary. So many of us grew up learning from you and John.
@hankgreen 1) I can afford a down payment of like $1000 and a monthly payment of like $200, 2) in my region it's just burning coal for electricity instead of burning gas so I just don't know if it's actually any better for the environment, 3) I know gas car maintenance already
@ryansbergara @FYAPod I have no internet presence whatsoever but I went to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay like a million times as a kid and my dad created the whole park in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 so if y'all ever need somebody who's ridden the original wooden Gwazi 4000 times I'm your gal
@wearewatcher Now, Florida scrubland is one of the best places to see Bigfoot, among many other cryptids, so I was terrified of this unknown beast in my dad's swimming pool. My brave dad went out to look, and it was a baby opossum! We wrapped it in warm towels and released it in the garden!
@wearewatcher My dad lives out in the middle of nowhere in the Florida scrubland. One night I looked out the window of my dad's house and saw a dark shadow moving about in the pool. It had a long snout, four legs with wicked claws, and a thin, snake-like tail whipping back and forth. 1/2
@ZanofArc In my hometown the Ford Amphitheater, named such because Henry Ford lived there for a while, was renamed the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheater
So of course everyone calls it the Ford Amphitheater
The companies saying they're gonna wait out the writers' strike until the writers need to come crawling back to afford their bills, like English majors aren't already used to working odd jobs to make ends meet.
I fear for the next work meeting where someone asks, "Have ya'll seen any good shows or movies lately?" And Im gonna have to explain Skibidi Toilet to a Zoom call of middle-aged game devs.
