Tbh I think the bigger issue is the ads that are treated like regular videos in shorts. Like, tiktok is already trying to be qvc, we don't need YouTube hopping on the trend

A proposed class-action lawsuit has been filed against Google and YouTube, claiming YouTube Premium isn’t as “ad-free” as the company says.

The lawsuit argues that while Premium removes YouTube’s own ads, subscribers still must watch sponsored segments that creators include in their videos.
