🧠 Mystery / Who Did It
The party was already filled with family members and close friends, eating, drinking, and chatting in a lively atmosphere. Laughter echoed across the hall, glasses clinked, and soft music played in the background, but beneath the surface, there was tension that could not be ignored.
Almost everybody was not happy with the transfer of the company. Chief’s three partners were the worst hit by the decision. They felt betrayed, having been the first employees of the company and having worked tirelessly to build it into what it had become. Now, to be overlooked at such a crucial moment did not sit well with them. Mr Bassey, Mr Jude, and Mr Echu were seen together, drinking and chatting, but their conversations were low and intense, clearly not as carefree as others around them.
Mrs Jenny, Chief’s second wife, was also not pleased with the decision. Though she maintained her elegance and composure, quietly sipping her drink and observing the room, there was a storm behind her calm expression. She had expected more, perhaps even control, and this decision was not in her favour.
Mr Edu, the first son, sat with a drink in his hand, his face showing clear dissatisfaction. As the eldest, he believed the company should naturally fall into his hands. Watching events unfold before him only deepened his frustration. Not far from him was Mr Obi, distant and withdrawn. His anger toward his father was long-standing, and though he said little, his cold expression spoke volumes.
In contrast, Mrs Achu remained calm and composed. She observed everything quietly, carrying herself with a sense of responsibility and awareness that set her apart from the rest. She understood the weight of what was about to happen, even if others did not accept it.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for.
Chief Paul made a grand entrance.
The room subtly shifted as attention turned toward him. Conversations softened, movements slowed, and all eyes followed him as he walked in with authority and presence. He greeted everyone warmly, his voice steady, his demeanourr confident. There was no doubt he was still in control.
He addressed the gathering, making it clear why they were all there. He assured them that he would still be around, as the necessary documents were being finalized for the transition of power. His words were calm, but their meaning carried weight.
As the party continued, Chief stood at one corner of the hall, sipping his drink and glancing across the room. His eyes moved from one face to another—his family, his partners, his associates. He watched their reactions, their emotions, their hidden intentions.
Then he nodded quietly to himself.
In that moment, he was certain.
He had made the right choice.

@mainolufemi@UnkleAyo@UnilorinNGR invest that ₦50,000 in a business when they have more pressing needs. And unfortunately, ₦50,000 isn't enough to solve those needs either.
In the end, it's too little to build a business and too little to provide meaningful relief.
@mainolufemi@UnkleAyo@UnilorinNGR That's the point. The grant is so insignificant that it serves neither group.
Anyone who has been coping through the hardship isn't going to start a ₦50,000 akara business. They'll most likely add it to their feeding.
At the same time, someone who is truly poor can't afford to..
@mainolufemi@UnkleAyo@UnilorinNGR What if the person has children, how will she feed herself and children, how can she train them in school. I suppose she will also pay for rent.
@mainolufemi@UnkleAyo@UnilorinNGR I asked how.
From the 50k, how much will he spend on beans or groundnut oil, or even pan. I want to know what a 50k can do. Please break it down.

I had a viable business and while I don't regret going into Politics, it made me poorer." - Peter Obi, NDC Presidential Candidate.

Hello @elchecf
I’m Olaogun, a winger also played as a striker from Nigeria. I’ve spent the last 3 years training daily to get one shot at professional football.
I’m not asking for a contract. I’m asking for 7 days on trial to show you what I can do. If I’m not good enough, I’ll walk away with no hard feelings.
I’m fast, direct, and I work harder than anyone on the pitch.
My highlights are here: https://t.co/nD68FCLsMn
Thanks,
Olaogun
