Marla Hanson was 24 when her former landlord hired two men to attack her with razor blades after a rent dispute and rejected romantic advances.

They slashed her face, leaving permanent scars that ended her modeling career.

During the trial, she refused to hide and appeared in court without makeup: “I wanted people to see what they had done.”

All three men were convicted, and she later became a victims rights advocate.
