Barack: You told me all those years ago that you couldn’t promise me the world, but you could promise me an interesting life. Of course, you outdid yourself and managed to give me both.
Eight years in the crucible, and not once did you melt from the heat. Not once did you let it harden you. Instead, you used it to reveal your truest essence: your stubborn optimism and unflinching courage, your dazzling brilliance and unpretentious decency, your ferocious work ethic and absolutely unshakable moral fiber.
@Ohta_Ryota It's by default hakuacha ujitetee, ni vile 'anajua kazi' uyo magistrate. His aim is to instill fear in you ndio next time you cooperate with the traffic police without resistance
Stephen Colbert and David Letterman paying tribute to Obama’s infamous tan suit at the Presidential Center opening is exactly the level of pettiness and historical accuracy I respect. 😂
Some controversies deserve a reunion tour.
Police have raided my house!!
They havent harrased me.
They have found me naked.
I dont know who sent them.
They have done a proper search in my house.
Mimi sio mwizi.
Mimi sijui mbona walikuja
I am still traumatized.
I dont know who to call other than my parents.
@otienowill This man is a coward, immature and unripe for national politics
He's proving to be the biggest flop of the crop of young leaders who seem to offer alternative ideas.
Imagine him as president or DP then flyng out in the middle of a huge national crisis to escape accountability
Buda, usitubebe ufala.
It is becoming a recurring pattern that whenever Parliament is confronted with consequential votes that directly affect the livelihoods of millions of Kenyans, you are conveniently outside the country.
After months of fiery rhetoric, media appearances, and vehement opposition to the Finance Bill, your conspicuous absence at the decisive moment raises legitimate questions about your sincerity and political fortitude. Were the interviews merely performative? Was the outrage simply a public relations exercise?
i find it incredibly attractive when someone challenges me intellectually and teaches me things i don’t know, without even a hint of condescension. confidence paired with kindness is very attractive indeed.
When I leave people alone, I genuinely think I’m giving them what they want. It’s no way you did what you did & expected me to believe you still wanted me around.
Sometimes, God will pull you away from people you thought would be in your life forever, not to punish you, but to protect you. He sees what you can't, hears conversations you weren't meant to and removes what's blocking your blessings. Trust the separation, even when it hurts. What's meant for you will never require you to beg, chase or lose yourself.
when Michelle said Barack has “stubborn optimism” I realized I also really want that in a partner. Somebody who isn’t moved by life’s shortcomings but ALWAYS sees the light at the end of the tunnel. That’s a true leader, not just of a country but a household. what a legacy.
BREAKING: IPOA yesterday revealed disturbing details in court about the killing of Rex Maasai.
According to IPOA, Officer Murangiri claimed he was not on duty on the day Rex Maasai was shot in Nairobi CBD. Yet video evidence allegedly places him at the scene.
IPOA also says police initially stated Murangiri left the station carrying only a tear gas launcher. But CCTV footage reportedly showed him carrying what appeared to be a firearm instead.
Even more troubling, investigators established that Murangiri had access to three firearms. When IPOA requested all three for forensic testing, only two were produced. The third firearm - the one under suspicion - has reportedly never been surrendered.
As the evidence mounted, the defence shifted to seeking delays, additional witnesses, and more evidence.
This is exactly why most of us have little confidence in police accountability. If officers can allegedly mislead investigators and key evidence can go missing, then oversight remains weak.
My view and suggestions remain unchanged: every firearm issued to an officer should be surrendered directly to IPOA before being returned to the police armoury. Without an independent chain of custody, accountability gaps will continue to exist.
Justice for Rex Masai.
