Happy Friday everyone! This weekend, have a new experience!

It's important for not just game devs, but all people, to have a wide variety of experiences so you can understand and empathize with the world and other people better. See what all is out there and try something new. You never know what you might learn! This can be something as simple as watching a new TV show or movie, playing a new game, going to a new store, anything to get new experiences and perspective on life.

For any creative especially, you need to have a broad understanding of what's out there and what has been done so you can consider this when coming up with your own solves and innovations. It can help you quickly solve problems in your own project that have already been solved by others, or consider new solutions and ideas that haven't been done before. I can't recommend it highly enough.

One of the most famous examples of this Miyamoto deciding to take up gardening more, and eventually turning that into Pikmin. Approaching life from a different angle can lead to very positive results and mental reframing. Again, this isn't true just for game devs, this is true for anyone! Go out and try something new this weekend!
