First Graders have become winter animal experts and shared their knowledge at the Animal Wax Museum. They researched an animal, designed a costume, wrote a report, created a diorama and used a computer to develop a code to show their animal surviving in the winter.

OES students feel proud of their individuality and recognize that their expressions and solutions are valuable and original. Studio Art fosters essential life skills such as confidence, innovation, and creativity.

Students actively pursue innovative ideas without any constraints. The process of envisioning, planning, making mistakes, and collaborating is repeated and enhanced to help students take ownership of their work and develop trust in their abilities.

The Studio Art model provides Orleans Elementary School students with the freedom to generate their own ideas and explore various thinking and creativity strategies to create new possibilities. They are not limited to a specific set of instructions or predetermined outcomes.

Yesterday, fourth-grade students hosted a "Living Timeline—Biography Celebration." They researched a famous person, wrote an essay, and created artwork. During the event, they dressed up as their chosen person and presented life highlights.
