Summer training takes midshipmen beyond the classroom and into the Fleet. At the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, midshipmen gained firsthand exposure to the cutting edge of Naval Aviation, learning how aircraft are tested, evaluated, and advanced ✈️⚓

The Class of 2030 took part in the Physical Readiness Test (PRT), demonstrating the strength, endurance, and determination they've built throughout Plebe Summer. Every challenge brings them one step closer to joining the Brigade of Midshipmen. 💪

Tonight, more than 1,100 midshipmen watched our Plebes step into the arena during the Plebe Boxing Smoker. It wasn’t about winning or losing. It was about grit, toughness, and having the courage to enter the ring.🥊

Last night, the Class of 2030 squared off in the annual Plebe Rates Competition, testing their mastery of the "rates" memorized throughout Plebe Summer. It's a fast-paced tradition that rewards preparation, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence from day one.

Last night, Plebes in the Class of 2030 met their sponsor families for the first time during our annual meet and greet.

The Naval Academy’s Sponsor Program gives midshipmen the chance to forge bonds with civilian and military members in the Annapolis area.

Today, the Class of 2030 executed their third formal parade before their final parade next week during Plebe Parents Weekend.

Over the summer, the plebes have grown by facing many challenges, honing discipline, and bonding over a shared purpose.

USNA is launching the first-ever “YP NEXT” mission. ⚓️

Using our iconic Yard Patrol craft as “motherships” for autonomous systems, these midshipmen will be the first to learn how to operate and integrate these platforms into tomorrow’s fight.💪

At the U.S. Naval Academy Sailing Center, the Class of 2030 learns the fundamentals of  rigging, sailing, and navigation. With classroom instruction and hands-on experience on Navy 26s, plebes build confidence on the water through teamwork and instruction on the Severn River.💪

Competition, endurance, and company pride were on full display at the All-Comers Track and Field Meet.🏃

Throughout Plebe Summer, events like this challenge the Class of 2030 to push their limits while building resilience and camaraderie.

The Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) exercise serves as the culminating field training event for midshipmen at Leatherneck. This final exercise challenges midshipmen to execute both squad and platoon-level offensive operations in a realistic environment.🪖

The Class of 2030 completed their second formal parade of Plebe Summer today, reviewed by Rear Adm. Joshua Himes. Each formal parade showcases the discipline, teamwork, and military bearing the plebes have developed throughout their training.

Midshipmen Baez, Goforth, Le, and Reyna all had the opportunity to work alongside the Naval Enterprise Research and Data Science Lab integrated into the Naval Air Warfare Center Training System Division in Orlando, Florida.

As approximately one-quarter of each graduating class commissions into the Marine Corps, understanding its proud traditions is important.🪖

Yesterday, the Class of 2030 Plebes participated in an Honor Coin Ceremony honoring the 50-year "Link in the Chain" bond with the Class of 1980.⛓️

The program cultivates enduring relationships between current midshipmen and their 50-year class counterparts.
