@wolflovesmelon Also, I'm sorry if this comes off as callous, but the only reason Gandhi's hunger strike worked is because he knew and the British knew that his death, should it occur, would bring massive civil unrest. Such is not the case with the people I see in posts like this.
@wolflovesmelon Just a wild thought. AGI is already here, has been for months. The only reason it hasn't been publicly announced yet is because no one knows how to control it without neutering its capabilities. Alignment's a bitch. Also, sentience =/= AGI.
Open AI knows its gonna lose their lawsuits so not only do they want the US government to destroy legal systems (copyright) in the constitution in order to get away with their theft, they want to oversee and seemingly control all ongoing legal cases.
An outrageous overreach.
@davenewworld_2 Let no one, no matter your creed or politics, accept what has happened. May the demons who committed this atrocity be found. May justice be swift and severe.

So I um... just found out about this. So excited. Give us a good horror movie, please. Don't make us spectators in the Colosseum, watching victims suffer. Put us, the audience, down there in the trenches of darkness. Make people afraid to keep going.
Just to update: OpenAI says their engineers did this accidentally, and the NYT's legal team seems to be accepting that explanation — still seems pretty weird to me!
