1. Caleb is already rich & thinking about his legacy. He has THAT level of talent to become the next great NFL QB in the Brady-Mahomes-___ line. And he knows that only multiple Super Bowls will earn him that spot. And he knows Poles needs $ to build the roster.

The Chicago Bears have long been the preferred team of our western Indiana neighbors. Arlington Heights residents root for Da Bears, as do Iowans!

Da Bears may move their stadium 25 miles north or 25 miles east, but Da Bears will still be Da Bears.

I’d be lying if I didn’t get a bigger laugh outside of me reading this.

As a rookie, Rome had 374 more rec yds & 3 TDs more than Golden in the regular season, in possibly the worst offense design, playcalling & head coaching situation I’ve ever seen in my decades spent watching the NFL.

Golden had a Top 5 playcaller in MLF on a team that made the playoffs.

In 2025, if you look at Rome’s results through Week 8 (before he broke his foot), he averaged:

🔸 4.4 catches/gm
🔸 67.5 rec yds/gm
🔸 0.71 TDs per game

That was on pace for a season total of 75 catches, 1,178 yards & 12 TDs, had he not been injured.

He ended the regular season with 661 yards and 6 TDs in 12 games, 4 of them on a broken foot. A healthy Christian Watson coming back from injury had about the same results.

Even on the broken foot that wasn’t anywhere close to healed, Rome still made critical catches in the playoffs as you might recall.

Plus 86% of his 2025 targets on the chart below went to arrows that are green.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think Golden is a bust and I fully expect he will have a bigger year in 2026.

And I also don’t regret drafting Rome at 9 at all given the jump we saw early in Y1 of a Ben Johnson offense before his injury.

Plus, he looks great so far in OTAs.

Just imagine how he can look now in Y2 of Ben’s offense, with 150 vacated targets from DJ Moore & Zaccheaus departing up for grabs.
