Warhorse Studios co-founder Martin Klima hopes GTA 6 will 'blaze a trail' to higher game prices, citing increasing costs of game development:
"That would help a lot, but everybody’s scared to death about it. Now, hopefully, GTA will blaze the trail, and it will allow us to increase the cost."

@BRAP_Podcast Terrible news for people who prefer physical, also means no backwards compatibility for people who bought PS4 & PS5 games on Physical disc. Can’t wait for the pod for you and Logiq to discuss
I was genuinely planning to go to an in-person midnight launch for GTA 6 just for the nostalgia hit lol, but skipping an actual disc kind of makes it moot at this point.
I'm always physical first when it's an option but will go digital if that's all there is. Ah well.
@GameLogIQ Great read—very interesting points you mentioned, especially about women’s and Black people’s income growth since the 1960s.
The craziest thing about this affordability discussion is that the people complaining never seem to consider the availability of previous and last-gen
@vincesaidso@fcbniine@Zuby_Tech Really ?, then that would mean all games on playstation 5 would require PS5 pro enhancements ?, as only the Pro console have PSSR
@GotBanned95 @TheGamingLedger Big question will be how much focus they’ll place on cross gen between PS5 & PS6, we know that slowed down sales, cause a lot of people hung on to PS4 cause of fortnite, ect, but now them games are slowing down, so will be interesting to see.
@GotBanned95 @TheGamingLedger They do seem to make that a focus target of at least surpassing the previous console gen sales, before moving on fully to next gen
@TheGamingLedger I could be wrong, but I don’t think the price hikes are down to them being aggressive. It genuinely think its global economics. And i think it’s a rock & a hard place situation because when GTA 6 launches and it doesn’t impact console sales at $550, sony think why stay at $600
