@HillmortonLocks there’s a recent video on YouTube that suggests there maybe something in the water at one of the locks (https://t.co/ms4KWYv55o). I don’t know if it’s already been investigated.
@EVPuzzle In the unlikely event that you are on Box Broadband, there is a known issue with the route to the "dev" website. My neighbour has devices working on HA but my only device isn't supported as it uses a gateway.
A good way of making money! You cancel someone’s direct debit and tell them they must log on and set it up again but it’s not possible to use the web site ☹️
@tylerfage@NABO_Official@WobblyBoater @CRTContactUs I think it's often like that. This was in 2016 looking down from the staircase. The reason that bottom gates leak like that is that boaters only open one gate and then bash into it. They used to discourage the practice but now it's the preferred method (at least, on Hatton).
@MartinSLewis The IHD isn't really that useful if you are on a complex tariff mainly, I guess, from Octopus. Although the meter can be programmed for multiple rates, Octopus just use 30min readings. For tariffs that vary daily, the display can never work and an app is essential.
@BulbUK I was “aligned” with Octopus on 1st April which increased my EV tariff and reduced my export payments. Octopus appear to have reduced their GO/EV tariff but I’ve not heard anything about my “aligned” rates going down. Is this going to happen?
I suppose that we have to be prepared to quit Twitter. Very sad. There may be an alternative, BlueSky, from Twitter’s original founder. https://t.co/Lmb0btFGgJ
@Roger_Neale@CRTWestMidlands I was actually out running. It looks OK at the moment (from the boat) but some of the towpath between Dunchurch Pools and Braunston could do with some work as the bank has collapsed. Too muddy for running on the towpath for me at the moment so it’s roads until it’s drier.
@CRTWestMidlands there’s a tree or bush that’s fallen over and is effectively blocking the towpath between bridges 82 and 83 on the North Oxford (bottom right on Strava map). Braver people may have ventured past but I’m reluctant to fall in the canal.
@journeyjono Not liveaboards but 5 and a 1/2 years! Perhaps a bit more cruising this year. We have been out once in January, up the Ashby, so it may happen. Still lots of odd jobs to do on board.
@StravaSupport I can’t display routes on my MacBook using Safari or Chrome. On Safari it attempts to load twice and then goes to an error page and on Chrome it loads twice and just displays waypoints.
We have one of the greatest tidal ranges in the world. Canute proved it can’t be stopped so let’s start ruling the waves and investing in tidal power to keep the lights on over winter.
