@DallasWoodhouse Good one, Houston.

[NC Ed walkout 10/2/23 @nc_fixEdNow]

@coachdavidgreen @JustinParmenter @SenatorSawyer @NCHSAA We all walkout on 10/2 to oppose this budget. It’s a garbage budget and all of NC needs to respond to hold these morons accountable.

[NC Ed walkout 10/2/23 @nc_fixEdNow]

@NCHouseSpeaker We will all walkout on 10/2 and not come back until our y’all can get things right.

Taxpayer money being used to fund unmonitored schools is irresponsible. You’re a joke.

[Matt Bristow-Smith @MBristow_Smith]

Dear @NCLeg, my veteran teachers wish to thank you for the 2% raise in this year’s budget. They humbly request that future raises at least be pegged to inflation, which averages 3.28 annually and was 8.26% last year. That’s the LEAST we can do to retain our top talent.

[Kim Mackey @educatedpolicy]

@nckhui It’s because they don’t want experienced teachers to stick around long enough to qualify for a pension while cutting avg max salary power. They don’t care about beginning teachers (frozen pay power) and less about experienced folks. #ncpol #nced

[Keung Hui @nckhui]

Rep. Brandon Lofton says too many NC students are sitting in classrooms without teachers. He says the avg. 7% raise for teachers is troubling considering inflation. He says raises could be doubled if they used the addt'l money going to private school vouchers. #nced #ncpol #ncga

[NC Ed walkout 10/2/23 @nc_fixEdNow]

@nckhui Mike Lee has no idea what he is talking about.

[NC Ed walkout 10/2/23 @nc_fixEdNow]

@nckhui @dawnbvaughan Time to fix this once and for all. 9/4/23.

[NC Ed walkout 10/2/23 @nc_fixEdNow]

@get_hope Pretty hypocritical to say you support teachers pre-service and then have Chase totally bad mouth the teaching profession during the first portion of his sermon. Teachers are not turning kids away from religion…your analogy today was awful and worrisome. @wcpss

@NCGOP Ridiculous. These schools have zero accountability so why should tax dollars pay for this?! Lies.

[NC Ed walkout 10/2/23 @nc_fixEdNow]

@NCGOP Absolutely no oversight on the funds to School B so we really have no idea.
