He reaffirmed Management’s unwavering commitment to continuously improving staff welfare, providing a conducive working environment, and motivating members of staff to sustain the College’s tradition of excellence in aviation training.
He further disclosed that the Management is working towards implementing a new salary structure that will be comparable with those of other aviation agencies, as well as a revised Conditions of Service, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance staff welfare.
The Rector/CE noted that the College recently received two prestigious awards from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Morocco, attributing the achievement to the dedication, commitment, and professionalism of members of staff.
He assured the union that the Management remains committed to improving the welfare of members of staff and fostering a harmonious working relationship with all staff unions in the College.
Responding, the Rector/CE, Dr. Danjuma A. Ismaila, thanked the National President and his delegation for the courtesy visit, describing it as a welcome development and a demonstration of the cordial relationship between the College Management and organised labour.
He reaffirmed the union’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of NCAT and pledged continued collaboration with the College in advancing the welfare of staff and promoting industrial harmony.
Comrade Ogbe explained that the visit also provided an opportunity to discuss issues affecting the welfare of staff, including promotion arrears, salary structure, and the review of the College’s Conditions of Service.
He stated that the purpose of the visit was to pay a courtesy call on the Rector/CE, interact with members of the NCAT chapter of ATSSSAN, and familiarise himself with the branch and its newly elected executives.
Speaking during the visit, the National President of ATSSSAN, Comrade John Ogbe, expressed appreciation to the Rector/CE for the warm reception accorded to him and his delegation.
