On this 82nd anniversary of D-Day, Commissioner @LukeFarleyNC and the North Carolina Department of Labor honor the brave Americans who stormed the beaches of Normandy in defense of freedom.
Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve changed the course of history and secured liberty for generations. Today, we remember their service, honor their legacy, and reaffirm that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

The Struck-By Workplace Safety initiative highlights the importance of recognizing and preventing struck-by hazards in construction, which have become the leading cause of workplace injuries in North Carolina.

Commissioner @LukeFarleyNC and the NCDOL leadership team had a great day in eastern North Carolina with @USDOL Acting Secretary @Sonderling47 and @USDA Secretary @SecRollins.
We started the day at @PittCC with a tour and roundtable discussion focused on workforce development, skilled trades, and expanding opportunities for North Carolina workers. Later, we visited David Parker Farms to highlight the strength of North Carolina agriculture and the hardworking men and women who keep our state moving forward.
North Carolina’s success is built on strong partnerships between workers, community colleges, job creators, and industry – and today was a great opportunity to showcase that collaboration in action.
Commissioner @LukeFarleyNC had the pleasure of catching up with North State Steel President JD Morgan yesterday to discuss how the company is utilizing apprenticeships as part of its workforce development strategy.
Their conversation highlighted the important role apprenticeships play in building a skilled workforce, creating opportunities for workers, and helping North Carolina businesses meet their labor needs.

I saw firsthand how Pitt Community College works with North Carolina businesses to train and skills the next generation of American welders.
