@mediczack @TI_GovNL As someone who commutes from Normans Cove to St Johns for work daily. The section from Holyrood to foxtrap is always the worst. Could be bare pavement elsewhere and that section is always snow covered. @TI_GovNL needs to review their routes for plows here.

Placentia and Whitbourne RCMP advise the public that driving conditions on the TCH in these areas are currently very poor due to snow and slippery roads. Motorists are asked to avoid the area as certain sections will be impassible due to a motor vehicle crash near Peak’s Pond.

RCMP are currently at the scene of a motor vehicle collision on the TCH just west of the Chapel Arm turnoff. Police advise motorists of slow-moving traffic in this area due to the collision and to drive with caution as road conditions are deteriorating.

I just had a good call with President Trump. Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan — reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl. Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are and will be working on protecting the border.

In addition, Canada is making new commitments to appoint a Fentanyl Czar, we will list cartels as terrorists, ensure 24/7 eyes on the border, launch a Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. I have also signed a new intelligence directive on organized crime and fentanyl and we will be backing it with $200 million.

Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together.
