During a NASA rocket launch, cameras captured an unexpected stowaway; a frog blasted into the air by the rocket’s exhaust plume. The animal had likely been near the launch pad and was caught in the extreme force of ignition, appearing mid-air in a now-famous image taken during liftoff.
While the moment looks almost unreal, it highlights the intense environment around launch sites, where sound, heat and pressure can affect surrounding wildlife. The photo became one of the strangest and most talked-about accidental snapshots in spaceflight history.
