Mount Jefferson State Natural – Monday, 7/31 until further notice

Restrooms at the summit area are closed. We do not have an estimated reopening at this time. Please use the restrooms at the park office.

Merchants Millpond State Park – Tuesday, 8/1

Road and parking surfacing will be occurring at the park. The park will remain open, but access to rentals, Lassiter Trail, visitor center, and picnic area may be temporarily affected. Be prepared to park in alternate lots.

Tuesday 7/25 – Pilot Mountain State Park

The summit road and campground remain closed for maintenance. We expect to reopen noon tomorrow, Wednesday, July 26. Parking is available at the visitor center.

On Monday, July 24, the park road to the summit and the access to the campground at Pilot Mountain State Park will be closed for construction. Visitors can park at the visitor center parking lot.

Monday, 7/24 – Alert for Carolina Beach State Park:
There is a power outage at the park. The visitor center remains open. There is no fuel for boats and no electricity in the campground or at the marina.

The Paddy's Creek swim beach at Lake James State Park will be closed for maintenance in the morning today 7/24 and Tuesday 7/25. It will open at 1 p.m. on both days.

On Monday, July 24, the New Hope Overlook Access at Jordan Lake State Recreation Area will be closed for water line repairs. Please visit Ebenezer Church or Seaforth accesses as alternatives.
