Wayne Barnes gave a penalty to South African tonight, watched the replay on the big screen and seen he got it wrong, then explained to Savea he’d got it wrong and let South Africa kick the penalty anyway.

Dark day for rugby. Questionable decisions at crucial times, but more importantly a team whose shown consistently to play in an underhand, disreputable way. The green and golds will cheer, but it's a hollow victory based on illegal tactics.
