Ten years ago, when we lost Prince, thousands of Minnesotans filled the streets singing “Purple Rain.” A hometown star who had a way of bringing us together—and still does.
Thankful that the second Air Force officer whose fighter jet was shot down in Iran has been heroically rescued by U.S. Special Operations.
What a blessing on Easter Sunday morning.
May God continue to watch over our troops.
Happy Resurrection Sunday to all those celebrating. May this Easter remind us all of the promise of renewal, the power of faith, and the enduring hope that carries us through even the most challenging moments. Wishing you and your loved ones peace, joy, and quality time together.
Congratulations to the U.S. Men’s and Women’s hockey teams, Alysa Liu, Breezy Johnson, Mikaela Shiffrin and all the amazing Olympic athletes representing @TeamUSA.
Goosebumps! People often ask, is Shakespeare still relevant? Here is a great example, from the Steven Colbert Show, in which Sir Ian McKellen delivers an extraordinary speech. Shakespeare’s words are timeless, urgent and important.

No matter how long I live after we get through this dark chapter, I will never get over the immorality, the amorality, the corruption, the criminality and the cruelty in service to one of the worst humans to ever walk the earth.
It takes all of us to build a better country, and I’m a part of it! I earned my National Changemaker badge from @actblue by supporting a campaign at the federal level. Join me! https://t.co/9a4TdUYiip
Martin Luther King Jr. understood better than almost anyone that racial justice and economic justice are inextricably intertwined. Watch his powerful call to end poverty from his final Sunday Sermon.
I have long been an advocate for the work of @jamestalarico and his campaign for the US Senate seat continues to set the gold standard for communicating a clear people first message in this time of division.
On this Martin Luther King Day, his message is very clear.

The worst politicians in America are about to quote Martin Luther King Jr.
You can’t quote “I have a dream” on MLK Day then legislate against that dream every other day of the year.
James Talarico: “Instead of posting the Ten Commandments in every classroom, why don’t they post money is the root of all evil in every boardroom? Why don’t they post do not judge in every courtroom? Why don’t they post turn the other cheek in the halls of the Pentagon? Or it’s easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle than to get into the kingdom of heaven on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange?”
It would be, but in retaliation, the blue states can just withhold paying into the federal government too. Still a collapse, but we could survive… Or we could just release the files and take care of all of this right now.
"Economic justice is mentioned 3,000 times in our Scriptures, both the New Testament and the Hebrew Scriptures. This is such a core part of our tradition, and it’s nowhere to be seen in Christian nationalism or on the religious right." - @jamestalarico
