NDMA conducted a practical emergency response drill in K. Guraidhoo as part of the CERT Induction Workshop, held in partnership with @UNICEFMaldives .
Minister of State for Defence and National Service Aishath Safoora observed the drill and thanked the participants and volunteers for their commitment to strengthening community preparedness and emergency response capacity.
CE Hisan Hassan met with the Minister of Health, Family and Welfare, Honourable Geela Ali, to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration between the Ministry and NDMA. The meeting also explored opportunities to enhance preparedness and emergency response through joint training and emergency exercises.

NDMA delivered a session on Disaster Assessment and Disaster Statistics during the final regional session of #ViluntheriBinaaru in Laamu Atoll. The session highlighted how disaster data supports evidence-based decision-making, impact-based forecasting, disaster risk reduction, and resilient infrastructure.
The regional session brought together council representatives and technical officers from Laamu, Gaafu Alifu and Gaafu Dhaalu Atolls to strengthen risk-informed planning and resilience.
Implemented by @mihudmv in partnership with @UNDPMaldives, with support from @cdriworld through the Infrastructure Resilience Accelerator Fund (IRAF).
