The coaches have spoken: In a vote last week, the AFCA Board swung its support behind (1) a playoff with the max participants (likely 24); (2) discontinuing conference championships; and (3) ending CFP by second week of January, they tell @YahooSports.

With Eli Raridon being drafted by the Patriots in the 3rd round, every primary starting TE at Notre Dame since 2004 has now been drafted (12 starting TEs in a row).
The streak officially continues.

With the final pick of Thursday night’s first round, the Seahawks selected Notre RB Jadarian Price.
There never had been a year in which the top two running backs were selected from the same school. Now both Jeremiyah Love and Price accomplished that feat for the Fighting Irish.
Thank You Greenville, that was a blast! You should be an NCAA Tournament site every year. Between the downtown, the parks, the restaurants, the arena and the people it’s the perfect place for basketball fans to come together. Hope to be back soon!
BYU joined a conference. Did that help them? Duke “won” the ACC. Did that help them? For the “ND should join a conference crowd,” tell me again why? It would actually make it easier for us to get in if we did have that opportunity. But, who really cares about a conf champ? 🤷🏻♂️
@deptulahasrage You can’t say “ND has it so easy to get in” one year because they are independent and then the next say they didn’t get in because of independence and they need to be in a conference to get in. Clearly, it’s more difficult to be independent.
@deptulahasrage Again, what does joining a conference have to do with this? The people who spew that nonsense have no understanding of the situation. It’s just the easy thing to say.
