Last Friday, NDP Track & Field competed in the 66th Oakland County Championship meet.
This competition is reserved for Oakland County athletes who have met a qualifying standard in their event prior to the competition. Out of the 47 schools competing, how did Irish athletes stack up? Let’s check out the numbers:
🍀 Irish athletes qualify for 6️⃣ events, and place
🍀 TOP 🔟 in every single event we compete in 🔥
🍀 We earned two top three finishes 🥈🥉, and
🍀Set 6 new PRs 🚨 ‼️ 🔔
Athletes, we are SO PROUD of the hard work and dedication each of you put in as individuals and as a team.

NDP Track and Field competed at our regional meet this past weekend, the day after prom and the day before graduation! 😅 Here’s a recap of the team’s performance:

9 athletes earned the chance to compete at the MHSAA State Meet. 🎟️
5 events ended with The Irish taking first or second 💥
3 new PRs set 🔥

On Monday, our freshmen and sophomores traveled to Frankenmuth for the Eagles 9/10 invite. Many great performances were achieved, including:
15 medal finishes 🏅
3 first place events 🥇
18 new PRs 🔥

Yesterday, we celebrated our 15 fantastic senior athletes. As Coach Barbee acknowledged, this crew has become the bedrock of NDP T&F. Their accomplishments are many, but we are most proud of the Christian people, academic scholars, and upright citizens they have become. Senior Athletes and Parents: we salute you! 🍀 ⭐️ 🙏

At the Country Day meet, two of our Phenomenal Freshman earned PRs: Chloe Kersuzan in the 200M and Joey Espinoza in the 100M 🔥
At Mark Carpenter Invite, Sophomore Gabby Brook PRs for the second time in the same week in shot put, and Senior Sam Phillips notches a new PR in the 400M 💪
