🌱 Harvest is here. Don’t let safety take a back seat.
Long days, big equipment and busy roads make harvest one of the most demanding times of the year.
A few reminders:
• Slow down and share the road. Make sure lights and signals are working, and trailer large combine headers when traveling between fields.
• Stay alert. Put the phone away and avoid distractions.
• Manage fatigue. Take breaks and recognize when you’re too tired to safely operate equipment.
• Respect the equipment. Shut machinery down completely before clearing plugs or performing maintenance.
• Prevent fires. Keep equipment free of crop debris and carry a working fire extinguisher.
• Be prepared. Use proper recovery equipment when equipment gets stuck.
